In the “terroir” where the Sassicaia wine was born, we will visit two top international producers and the beautiful town of Bolgheri.
Located on the amazing Tuscan coast, this area was intially populated by the Etruscans, the firsts natives making wine in Italy 3000 years ago. The wineries were born with a desire: living in perfect harmony and reaping healthy fruits by the terroir. The concept behind these companies is still about preserving soil and vine.
The products of this land are true masterpieces of elegance, and the wineries themselves are some of the most fascinating in Tuscany. You will be amazed by the stunning panoramic view on the Tyrrhenian seacoast.
You will have the opportunity to taste several kinds of wine paired with traditional food inside a historical cellar for lunch.
Your Itinerary
- You will be driven to the first exclusive winery of the day for a tour and tasting. The use of chemicals has been banned and they run using biological methods only.
- Later, at the second winery, where you will also have lunch, you will be striked by the breath-taking view of the seacoast. Their “grand cru” are their unforgettable wines… Just like the experience you are living
- Now you will drive through the popular Viale Dei Cipressi – well described in a famous poem by Giosuè Carducci, who has been charming generations of people from all over the world – to the picturesque and relaxing small village of Bolgheri. After the visit you will be driven back to your accommodation
You will have our English speaking driver and recent and comfortable Mercedes minivan – 7 or 8 passengers plus driver – at your disposal for the entire duration of the tour. All of our vehicles are full optional, also comprehensive of bottles of cold water and WiFi connection.
